U.S. Citizen Traveling From Germany to China

Hi there,

I'm a U.S. citizen traveling from Berlin to China to visit relatives for 2 weeks; what paperwork do I need, and what would the cost be? Do I need a Berlin resident's permit in order to apply? I just recently moved from the U.S. to Berlin for my master's degree.

Many thanks.

Since you go to Berlin for studying, I think you have got a residence permit or any documents to show that you will live in Berlin for a long time, right?
If so, it is needed when applying. Besides, you need to provide your valid passport, your application form with recent taken photos, your round trip flights tickets to China and hotel booking confirmation letter to apply. If the hotel booking is not applicable, you need to have a invitation letter from your relatives.
