Vietnamese citizen Applying for HK Visa

Dear,

Currently I am studying in the UK and I want to apply for HK visa to travel in 13th September before heading home (my UK's will expire in January, 2015). Is that possible for me get it before the departure date and how much I need to put into my bank account? With regards to the balance in my bank account, I have several days it is less than £500, can I still have a chance to get it?

Many thanks

Yes, you need to get one to HK before your departure days.
There is not specific requirements on your bank accout. Generally speaking, the more, the better, but it will not affect a lot if there is not so much on the account.

Take it easy. If you can provide enough necessary documents, it is not so difficult to get it in the end.

Hi, I have submitted my application a week ago through Chinese Embassy in London. I was told that it may take 4-6 weeks for processing but I have booked my flight ticket and the departure date is due in 4 weeks time. Will I get in on time and in case I get my result, is there any way to pay to faster delivery service for them to post my passport back to the UK quicker?

Many thanks

Jane, I am facing same problem like you. I submitted my visa application in Chinese embassy a week ago in KL too. They told me the same thing about 4-6wks. However when i called HK immigration, they told me they havent received my application yet. You better call them to make sure they have received & processed it.

Thank you Mai Chi. I called Chinese Embassy yesterday and they scare me by saying, we didn't receive any documents from you (when I tell them my name) then after they check it again, they told me I can come to collect it next week. Now I'm a bit worried, should I call them to be sure? which number has you called as last time I tried, the system asked for reference number automatically( I didnt get that 7 digits from Chinese Embassy).

Kind regards,

Hi Jane,

Sorry i didnt notice you reply to my message too. I called the same number on the website (852) 2824 6111. They are only customer services, however they did send my message to the processing department, because a guy from that department called me back & tell me he would help me to check with the local chinese embassy here.

It sounds like your visa is approved. I hope you collect it by now. Cheers :)
