Do I need a visa to visit HK in less than a day? (I will layovers in HK in 22 hours for transit),

Hello. I am a Vietnamese Citizen with Vietnam Passport. However, I immigrated to the U.S 3 years ago. I am wondering If I have U.S Green card. so I was wondering If I could visit HK without visa

Sorry, you still need to apply for Transit type G in advance before you go to HK because you don't have US passport.

Thanks. Let me once again make it clear that I don't need any visit visa in advance and presume they will be stamped at HK immigration on arrival.
