About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Does Hong Kong count as a third country?

If I use the 72-hour transit permit, may I fly from India to Guangzhou to Hong Kong? Is that permissible?

HK is regarded as a third region instead of a country. For your trip, you can apply to enjoy the 72-hour free transit, but the immigration has the right to decide whether you can enjoy it or not.
