About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I'm US Citizen fly from US stop in Shanghai and to Cambodia.

On the way back from Cambodia stop in Shanghai (PVG) for a connection to USA. I have 7 hours lay over so I want to check out in downtown Shanghai for a few hours. Do I qualify for 72 hours free transit ?

Thanks

Yes, you can enjoy the free transit policy. You need to tell the airline company that you want to enjoy the policy and then you can get a stay permit to get out of the airport.
