HKID renewal for non Chinese citizens

Hi, My daughter was born in HK and has a permanent HKID. She turns 18 this month and needs to have this renewed. Can we apply for the renewal in Australia? She is an Australian Citizen

Yes, your daughter can apply for HKID renewal through Chinese embassy/consulate. As I know, it will take 6-8 weeks to process the application, excluding the delivery time.

Hi, I don't know if this is the Philippe Cambon who has been living for many years I believe, in Brisane, Australia, and with whom I went to school...more than 30 years ago in Sophia Antipolis, France, but I believe you're the right person...you write that you have a daughter born in HKG who's 18...so I was wandering...I have been searching for your family now and then (3 brothers: Olivier (where does he live?), Philippe (you) and Laurent (who seems to live in Sydney, Australia?).
I am Philippe Chanliau, from Paris, France and if you are the right one, take care and hope to maybe hear from you one day! outlook.fr|pchanliau is my email address.
Kind regards,
P. CHANLIAU
