Can I arrive evening before business visa starts?

Hi, what are the rules around arriving the evening prior to a conference with a visa which starts the following day. e.g - late flight arrival on a Sunday, visa starts on a monday am for business. Do the dates need to match arrival time rather than business dates?

Simon, you made me confused. Usually, you can enter China before your visa expires. The exipired date is written as "Enter before XXX", which means that you just need to enter China before a certain date. If your visa expires on the day the conference is held, then you should enter before that date. What's more, the duration is usually written as "Duration of each stay: XXX days." It means that you should leave after the duration ends. So I think you made a mistake between these two dates.
