xiamen - jinmen ferry tickets for a big group

Question

Big group of us around 30 - 40 planning to have a 7 days tour in XM in Nov this year and would like to spend two more days in Jinmen. We'll arrive in XM and stay one night there. Next day we'll take a ferry to Jinmen and spend two days one night then go back to XM continuous with 7 days tour.From the time table the first ship departed at 9 am from XM and 5 pm from Jinmen. How may passengers that the ferry can carry and any difficulties to purchase ferry tickets at the ferry terminal for our big group? Can we purchase the round trip tickets for different departure date? Can we pre-book the tickets for our big group? If we stay one night in XM and one night in Jinmen then back to Xiamen for the rest of 7 days, do we need to apply single or muti visa for PRC? Thanks Urey.

Hi, you all need to apply for a double entry tourist L visa because you will enter China mainland twice. You can buy tickets on arrival at the ferry terminal, and you can also pre-book seats if necessary. It is ok to purchase tickets for a group of 40 anyway.

There are two docks from XM to Jinmen Wutong Dock and International Cruise Terminal. From the Wutong Dock to Jinmen, it takes around 30 minutes and the other terminal takes around 60 minutes. For a boat, around 180 to 200 people can sit, as I know. You can purchase the round trip tickets using different dates. For booking tickets, you can call 3216666 or 3216611 in Xiamen to book the tickets.
