During your stay, I suggest you take a tour covering Nanning & surroundings and Gulin & surroundings. Then here is my general suggestion:
Day 1: take a bullet train from Nanning to Guilin and take a short visit in the city
Day 2: Li River cruise - Yangshuo
Day 3: visit Yangshuo
Day 4: take a bullet train from Guilin to Beihai to have a visit and Weizhou Island should not be missed.
Day 5: stay a day in Beihai
Day 6: go back to Nanning city to tour this city
Day 7: head for the waterfalls
Day 8: go to Shuolong and then Tongling Canyon Natural Reserve
Day 9: go back to Nanning
If you are interested, I suggest you also visit the Longlived Village in Guangxi.
This is just for your refence and it is a little long trip, so I recommend you join a tour or have a guide to fully enjoy yourself.
