About:China Embassy in Thailand

Possible to get a 1 month Chinese L Visa from the Chinese embassy in Thailand as a Dutch person?

Hello, I will go to Thailand with my girlfriend in a few days from now and I would like to know if it is possible for me to apply at the Chinese embassy in Bangkok? If so, Do I only need my passport or something else in particular?

Hi, it is possible to get it in Thailand curently, showing your passport and valid Thai visa. But if time permits, you are advised to apply for it in advance in order to avoid any hassle.

By 'Thai visa' you mean the stamp that I will get on my Passport when I enter Thailand?
Because I don't think I need one for Thailand, right? And what exactly do you mean by applying for one in advance?

Sorry, I mean to apply in advance in your home country, which will be safe and the most convenient. Anyway, if you have no other option but to apply in Thailand, the entry stamp is acceptable for application.

Ok so just to clarify, I will apply for a Chinese L in Bangkok as a Dutch person, so that I can go back to China. I am in China currently with one that will expire in 9 days. Will I need a specific document or paper in order to get this L? Or do I just need my passport?

Hi Mees, you can apply in Bangkok without problem, but you need to prepare round-trip ticket to China and hotel reservation for the whole stay.
