Hi, Are the 1 day or 3 day subway passes valid for use on the public ferries in Shanghai?

And if I want to do only 1 river cruise cheaply,which will offer me more sights and/or better views-the River sightseeing Line or the Water Bus line?

No, both of them can only be used on local subway lines.
Personally speaking, it is more recommended to use the River Sightseeing Line for sightseeing.
