About:How to Take

Transferring trains

Hi, I am thinking of buying a ticket from Shanghai to Wuhan that will arrive at 1:30, however I am also thinking about buying a ticket from Wuhan to Guangzhou on the same day that will depart at 1:50, will I have enough time to transfer to my second train if I buy the tickets separately? What is the transferring process? Will i have to re-check in to my next train?

you don't need to get out of the station and re-check. Upon arrival, you just need to find the corresponding platform to board the train to Guangzhou.
But i still think 20 minutes is not enough, you'd better take the one after 2:00 if possible.
