Travel to Zhangjiajie

Hello. Thank you for providing such an informative site - it really helps me on my travels through China. I am wanting to catch public transport from Leshan / Emei to ZJJ - what is the best way to do this? If I need to I can get to Chongqing and catch transport from there to ZJJ if that is easier?

I suggest you to take a bus from Leshan Xiaobao Tourism Bus Station to Chongqing and then fly to ZJJ directly. The bus from Leshan to Chongqing takes around 5 hours.

Some people choose to go to Chengdu and then take a train from Chengdu to Huaihua. Then take a bus or train for ZJJ. I think the train journey from Chengdu to Huaihua is longer, around 14 to 15 hours. Then a train from Huaihua to ZJJ takes around 4 hours.
