About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

LA-Guangzhou-Phnom Penh

I am traveling from LA to Phnom Penh and have a 14 hour layover in Guangzhou. Can I get the 72hr visa transit if I check my luggage? In other words, my luggage will remain at the airport and I would only have my check-on when going through customs.

If you take a flight run by the same airline company, then I think you won't check your luggage again. However, I think you may contact your airline to confirm this.
