About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I am US citizen traveling from Manila to Shanghai then to US.

If I read correctly this is OK? But I have to leave on a flight to US 72 hours or less from the time I arrive?

How can I be sure my airlines knows I am requesting transit? Does it say on my itinerary somewhere?

thanks

I am afraid you can not avail this free transit in Shanghai, because it is not a direct transit via China. You can confirm this with Shanghai airport directly if necessary. 0086-21-51105100
