About:Visa Policy of China

Type of Visa and are Minors required to apply in person

I am applying for Visa for my son and me both of us are US born, to visit my US born daughter in Beijing for 3 weeks. Does my son have to go with me to apply for the Visa? He is 17. What type of visa should we apply for?

Hi, you can apply for tourist L for this visit, and you can apply on behalf of your son from Chinese embassy/consulate.
