VOA Gongbei for minor

Hello. My husband and I both have "return home cards" being Macau and HK ID card holders. We'll be traveling with our son from Canada to Macau, hoping to visit Zhuhai by applying the VOA for our son at the port. He holds a Canadian passport. Wondering how is the success rate for minor and any documentation required. We are also thinking of going to Shenzhen but from HK, however, I read that they run out of applications if you don't get there early. Might be difficult with travelling with a minor and get rejected at the border. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Canadian passport holders can easily get a VOA, Teresa, whether he is an adult or a child. So I think there will be no problem with the application. Just bring the passport, and complete the application form at the VOA office at Gongbei Port, take a photo and pay the fee.

There is no quota for VOA application at present.
