About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

American citizen working in Korea

I'm an American passport holder working in Korea I have more than 6 months on my ARC card now. But at the time of departure I will have about 4 1/2 months left on it. I have already booked my flight from Seoul to Bejing. Will a visa be approved?

Hi, it is ok. Because 6 month ARC is only required when you submit your application to the embassy. So you can apply now without problem. A single entry one is valid for 3 months, so it is ok to travel as long as it is valid.
