Husband Coming To Visit

I am working in China for the summer and came here before my husband. We are trying to get him a tourism visa now but do not know what to do about the hotel reservation portion. He will be staying with me of course in the work dorms but how do we show the embassy this? I can't write the letter. Can my company write the letter just stating that he is only coming to visit me and will not be working?

Hi, I am confused why you can not issue him an invitation letter, it is not necessary to ask one from your company if he is visiting for short stay. The letter should include following details:
(1) Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, etc.)
(2) Information on the planned visit (arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, etc.)
(3) Information on the inviting individual (name, contact telephone number, address, signature of the inviting individual)

I was told that I would need a temporary residence card in order to write the letter, I am here only with my one-entry visa. Is that not the case? Am I allowed to write the letter and just scan a copy of it in my passport and that be ok?

I see, then an invitation letter from your company is ok. But I have to say that if you work on any other type than work Z, it is illegal.
