About:Chinese Consulate in Brisbane

Will an itinery from the travel agency be sufficient?

the application service have asked for proof of where I'm staying in China when I'm travelling.

Yes, travel itinerary is enough if you travel with a travel agency. Otherwise, you have to provide flight ticket and hotel reservation for application.
