About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Can my daughter enter as a working student?

My daughter is a NZ citizen if she applies for a tourist L and then decides she wants to study and work while in Beijing, can she do this while she is there? Will she have to leave the country if she has to change her type of visa?

Thanks

Hi, it is possible for her to get student X2 without leaving if she enter with a tourist L. But she has to leave and apply for work Z in a third country or NZ.

What if she secures a position while she is in Beijing having first entered as a tourist? She also plans to study. I read the requirements and and it said she could work and study.

Hi, foreign students in China are allowed to work part-time without problem. But if she wants to work full-time for a salary after finishing studying, she has to leave and apply for work permit and work Z.
