can we buy food on the train?

Hi, I'm planning to go by high speed railway from Beijing to Shanghai in July. As it takes about 6 hours to get to Shanghai, can I buy food on the carriage?

yes, you can,
there is a dining car selling food, drinks and snacks on the way.
