About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Im a swede currently living in Japan. I want to go to Shanghai fo only one day.

Is it possible to go Osaka-Shanghai-Tokyo with a transit visa? Or do I need to go to a third country?

You need to go to the 3rd country. Remember visa-free is for transit visitors only.
