About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Flight indonesia, shanghai then japan

Hello,

I will be flying to Shanghai from indonesia on june 6th I was planning to stay in shanghai for two days. On June 8th, I then have tickets to go to Japan with a different airline. Does the 72hr transit visa apply to me or will I have trouble at the airport? What are the steps should I take or who should I contact?

Thank you

As long you you book the connecting air tickets in advance, you will be qualified with the policy though they are different airlines. Before arriving in the Shanghai, inform your airline of your transit so that they can declare this to the Immigration Inspection prior to your visit. Upon arrival, you can easily get a transit permit for an easy transit~
