Transit time of 74 hours.....

I am flying to Vancouver from Manila and would like a layover in Beijing. The flight I want lands in Beijing on the 9th of June at 11:00 AM and departs June 12th at 1:00 (74 hours). Will this work? Can I wait in arrivals for an hour or so in order to get it closer to my departure time on the 12th? Or does the visa use your schedules landing time as a start time.

Yes, it is ok, because the 72 hr starts from 00:00 of the following day. You can also confirm this with your airline, or Shanghai airport directly via 0086-21-51105100.
