is half day xian tour enough to see terra cota warriors?

If ever, we'll be coming from Beijing via night train, arriving XA around 8am. How many hours from train station to Terra Cota? How many hours needed there? Can we make it to the 1pm train back to Beijing? Is it worth our effort & money? Thanks!

Generally speaking, it takes around one hour and a half to reach the Terra Cotta Army. It costs at least around two hours wandering in the museum. After traveling, it is almost impossible to catch the train at around 1pm.

The terra cotta army is worth putting effort and money. In my opinion, if possible, you can book a later train, maybe around 16:00 or 17:00, so that you can definitely catch the train.
