21h in beijing T3

Hi
I have a few questions to ask.
1. I will have a 21h stopover in BJ from 3.30pm to 1.25pm. I will be staying at a nearby hotel (Jing'an Express hotel. Do I need any visa or permit to leave the airport?
2. Do I need to retrieve my checked in luggage during my stopover?
3. Any suggestions where I can tour during this stopover period from my hotel?
Thanks.

No visa is needed, but you need to apply for a stay-permit in the airport.
If you have a connecting flight in the next, you do not need to retrieven your luggage. For this matter, it is suggested to consult with the airline company once again.
I think 21 hours are enough for you to many places such as the Great Wall and the Forbidden City in the city proper area.
