About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Cost for visa extension

I will be co,into to Beijing in July on a 90 day F type - I was hoping to get it extended for a week after so I could explore Shanghai but just wondered if there is a cost/how much is it to get it extended?

Yes, you can extend it without leaving for leisure, but you need to pay for F extension. It was about RMB 168 if I remember it correctly.
