Beijing to Shanghai

Hi, i like to travel by Bullet train from Beijing to Shanghai , we are family of 3. couple and child of 7years. can we book a separate cabin , first class , and which is the best time to travel. day time or night. and how many hours journey , please suggest us ,

It takes 5 hours or so to travel from Beijing to Shanghai, however, no seperate cabin available. It is advisable to travel at daytime. Usually, tickets for the best G-category express trains(bullet train) are sold 10-20 days before departure, but reservations for other trains only available 5-10 days before departure. I strongly advise you to avoid traveling by train during the high season of Chinese big festivals like the coming May Day.
