About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hour free transit enquiry?

Hi I currently live in Japan and would like to travel to the UK (I have a UK passport) via China and Dubai (I do not require a visa for Dubai).

My plan would be to fly from Osaka to Beijing and stay for two days, then on a seperately booked flight to the UK via Dubai. (i.e. I would fly direct from Osaka to Beijing with China Eastern Airlines) then from Beijing to Manchester via Dubai with Emirates. Coming back I would follow the same route as I will be booking two return tickets (Osaka - Beijing and Beijing - Manchester) and again stay in Beijing for two days. Is it possible to get a 72 hour free transit for this trip?

Also, if I fly with China Eastern Airlines from Osaka to Beijing via another place in China (e.g. Shanghai or Qingdao as it might be cheaper) is this still OK?

Any help with ths would be much appreciated.

Many thanks
Paul

Hi, you can avail free transit in Beijing for both trips to and back from the UK. But it is impossible to use it if you transit via two cities in China, for example, Osaka-Beijing-Shanghai-Manchester.

Thank you for your reply. If I fly Osaka - Beijing, Beijing - Manchester and then Manchester - Osaka is this also OK? Thanks
