港澳居民來往内地通行証

travel direct from Ottawa to Beijing can I use my港澳居民來往内地通行証 for entrance to China instead of a Chinese Visa?

Yes, it is ok. But you should better confirm this with your airline first. As I know, some of them do not know it or accept it in stead of visa.
