About:How to Apply for a China Visa

what visa is needed to move to china from america and what can i do to speed up the process?

I live in america and my girlfriend in china and she wants me to move their with her i already have a passport. We also have plans for marriage but i need to get their first.

An invitation letter from your girlfriend is requried, but you can only apply for tourist L type this time. You can extend your stay after getting married in China. The processing takes 4 working days, and no express service available.

Thank you for your response. Ok so. If i go and we get married is that it could i stay after filling out a residential visa of some sort? Or do i need to do multiple visits to complete everything?

Is your wife a Chinese? If so, you need to return to USA and apply for the Q type. Q1 allows you to stay more than 180 days while Q2 is just as long as 180 days.
