About:Chinese Consulates in South Africa

Visa application at the Johannesburg Consulate

Good day

Please could you confirm the following?

1. Is it possible to apply at the consular office instead of the Chinese Embassy in Pretoria?
2. Are you open over the Easter holidays 18-21 April and 28 April?
3. Do I have to apply personally or can I send someone with the forms and relevant documents?

Tx

Hi, you have to apply from the embassy or consulate which holds the consular jurisdiction of the place where you reside. The embassy will open on these days, but I have no idea about the consulate. You can either apply in person or by someone else entrusted. Basic requirements include your passport, application form, photo, round-trip ticket and hotel booking are required.
