5 hours in nanjing

Question

Hi! I will made a trip to China in september. I'm planning to take a bus from Huangshan Scenic Spot that leaves me in Nanjing at 17.50 aprox, at Long-Distance Bus East Station and I need to take the last night train from Nanjing to Beijing at 23.48.As I can see, some of the highlights of Nanjing are in the middle of these two stations (Xuanwu Park, Zhonghua Gate, Fuzi Temple), but I'm not able of calculating the distances and the time I need. Could I go from the bus station, to, for example, Zhonghua Gate by walking, eat something and take a bus or subway from there to train station?Or is better taking other transportations in the middle?I'll appreciate every suggestion to spend this five hours in the city. Hi, Pauvilboo. Do you mean the train T66? If so, the train leaves at around 22:48 instead of 23:48. So you will only about four hours to travel in this city, because you may need to reach the railway station 40 minutes before the train's departure time. The Xuanwu Lake Park and Xuanwu Gate are about 5 to 6km from the east bus station. So upon reaching the bus station, you can take a taxi to visit the park and the Xuanwu Gate area. After visiting the lake, you need to check the time. From Xuanwumen to Zhonghua Gate by local subway takes about 20 minutes. From Zhonghua Gate to NJ Railway Station takes about 30 minutes.  If the time is not enough to travel to Zhonghua Gate, it is suggested to take the subway line 1 from Xuanwu Gate to Xinjiekou Station to have a visit to that place. Hi, Pauvilboo. The train D314 exists, but it leaves NJ Railway Station at 23:42 and reach Beijing at 08:56. Take your time please and enjoy the trip ~
