In department stores, the bargains are not allowed, but many department stores will have discounts when purchasing.1

Its certainly a lot rarer, but certainly in some of the bigger electronics stores like yolo I've seem the sales advisor knock items down. In these cases, I've not asked for a discount, just said its a tiny bit too much for me. Maybe only 5-10%, nothing like the markets.
For 95% of department stores, bargaining is a no no.1
