About:China Private Visit Visa

What's the best thing for me to do? If I get a tourist visa I can't work can I?

Hi, my boyfriend and I are planning to move to china for two years as he has a teaching job in Shanghai. I am not planning to find work until I'm there and we're not married so I don't think I can get an S1/S2?

Yes, you can't apply for S1/S2 type because you don't get married. You can apply for a L type to visit him but you can't work with L type. It's illegal.
