Do I need to explicitly apply for visa for transit or I will get permission from the airport.

Hi, I am shubham from India. I am flying to south korea on 17th may with a 22 hour layover at Pudong International, Shanghai. During these 22 hours, I just want to do some sightseeing in the city for which i will have to leave the airport.
