About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

I have dual US and Aust. citizenship, can I obtain a Chinese visa in my US passport in Australia?

No, you have to use your Australian passport instead. Because foreign passport holders should provide valid proof of residence status or work status for application if apply in a third country.
