About:Chinese Embassy in Vietnam

Do I need to purchase a Vietnamese visa in order to travel to the Chinese embassy in Vietnam?

I am traveling on an United States passport. Do I need to purchase a Vietnamese visa in order to travel to the Chinese embassy in Vietnam? Or, is there a Chinese embassy inside of the airport that is able to issue a Chinese F type?

Yes, you need to apply one for entering Vietnam. And you can't apply for the F type from the airport. I suggest you apply for the F type in the USA.
