Extension of currency date of unused visa

My current Class M double entry has not been used due to unforeseen circumstances. Is it possible to get an extension on the expiry date? Eg the current expiry date is March 30th and I wish to travel from March 31st to April 5th

No, this is impossible to extend an issued visa. You need to apply for a new one if it expires.
