About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Re enter after overstay

I recently overstayed my visa but because it was within 10 days I only received a written warning. However, I did have to leave after a temporary one. I'd like to reenter China again but having recently overstayed, will this be a problem? Nothing was mentioned to me that there would be a problem returning but some people have told me that they wouldn't grant visas in a passport with an overstay. Would it be wise to get a new passport first?

It's possible that you might get refused when you apply. I think you can try to apply with your current passport. Once you are refused, you might figure out another solution, changing your passport, for example.

Hi, I don't think anyone here can ensure you with that, because the consular officers have final say to your application.
