About:China Visa Exemption

Do I need Transit visa for a stopover of 12 hrs in shanghai, china?

I'm a canadian with a filipino friend travelling with a confirmed plane ticket from canada to manila via shanghai, china. The stopover in shanghai is less than 12 hrs.

No, it is not necessary. You enjoy free transit in Shanghai.
