About:Marco Polo Memorial Museum

I am joining a tour group in Beijing from Canada then flying from Shanghai to HK on my own.

It seems the rest of the group are flying straight back to their home countries. I am being asked to say the same although I am not. Why? And is this kosher?

Do you managed to get group tourist visa for this visit? if yes, you have to enter and exit China together at the same time. I think that is why the agency asked you to say the same.
