Do I need a visa to travel to Macau for the day from Hong Kong?

I am a Chinese citizen living in the US as a permanent resident, I will be traveling under my Chinese passport with my Green card. I am planning to get a visa for my stay in Hong Kong.

You need to get Macao visa if you travel this itinerary. But it is ok if you fly to HK but visit Macao directly without passing through HK immigration, then visit HK from Macao with your valid HK visa.
