Travelling with Musical Instruments

Hello, dear travel maestros!

I'm travelling as a band into inner cities like Wuhan, Wuxi & Ningbo on top of Shanghai & Beijing. We'll be carrying musical instruments like guitars with full dimensions of around 170cm (114 + 43 + 13). Is there any way for us to bring our gear onto the train and keep it with us, instead of checking them into another train? Because if we don't get them at your destinations, we'll be pretty much screwed. haha Any kind souls, please advise??? Thank you!!!

The regulation says the height should not exceed 160cm, but i know it is not too strict. You can have a try. Good luck!
