About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa requirement sailing in to Shanghai from hong kong

Hi we are Australian and arrive in Shanghai from Hong Kong on a cruise ship
we will be in Shanghai for 36 hours, we then sail to Alaska , do we need a visa ?

Yes, you should apply one for your stopover in Shanghai.
