Visa on one way ticket?

Hi, I and my wife are going to China in May and travelling on a one way ticket. We are planning on staying in China for 2 months and then travelling overland to Vietnam, and then eventually will be flying to Indonesia.
My question is, will we get a tourist L with one way ticket, if we can prove that we have an onward flight from Vietnam to Indonesia?
