About:China Student Visa

Have already tourist visa, german citizen, living in austria and want to get a X in Hongkong

Hey!
I have already a tourist L for china for two entries and will use the last one this week. Then I wanted to fly to Hongkong and apply for my study X. I have all necessary documents from my university.
But I read now on the homepage of the embassy that I have to apply at the consulate/embassy in the country of my residence?!
Is this now a problem?! Do I really have to fly back to Austria/Germany?

Thanks for help!

Hi, It is true that you may not able to get the X in Hong Kong. If you have all required documents in hand, you can apply for a student X now in Austria. Then use this X to China and get residence permit after entry. The residence permit can be used to exit and reenter China.

As I know. HK office only issued visas to HK residents. But if you have no other choice, you can have a try to apply in HK, or apply through a travel agency if necessary.
