About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

I have a 21 hour layover in guangzhou, china before my next flight to heathrow.

Do I need a visa to stay in a hotel outside of the airport or do are there available rooms within the airport?

No, you don't need a visa. Just apply for a stay permit upon arrival at the airport, with which you will be allowed to get out of the airport.

I just know there are VIP lounges in the airport for the convenience for first class and business class ticket holders.
