About:

hi im traveling from shanghai to beijing.

i have a lot of questions about it

How much does it cost in regular service or in high speed train?
is the same station for the two lines?
the price could change if i buy it in a foreign country?

1. The regular fast ones costs CNY156.5-177.5 for a hard seat and the fare for sleeper is CNY325.5-497.5. High-speed one costs CNY309-553 for a second class seat and CNY933 for a first class seat. However, the regular ones take 15h or longer, but the high-speed trains take 5-6h.
2. Regular fast ones can only be taken at SH Station, and most high-speed ones are at Hongqiao Station and also there are several at SH Station.
3. No, the price for the tickets will be the same. However, if you book online through an agency, you may need to pay them service fee.
